RYAN A. MARRONE
Ryan A. Marrone, Co-Founder & Partner, has over a decade of experience in the development and finance of renewable energy projects with over 20 years of experience representing private and public companies including several on the Fortune 100. Ryan presently serves as President of Solops, LLC a premiere renewable energy development and finance company focused on projects in the Commercial and Industrial Sectors. Solops was founded in 2011 and develops projects across the United States. Ryan has led the development of over 320 megawatts of commercial and industrial solar installations and closed on project financings totaling in excess of one billion dollars. In addition to his role as President of Solops, Ryan provides representation to Halm Law Group clients on specialized matters involving, real estate, land use, M&A, and corporate governance.
Prior to Solops, Ryan served as the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Onyx Renewable Partners L.P. the exclusive renewable energy investment company for global giant The Blackstone Group (NYSE: BX). Before co-founding Onyx, Ryan practiced law with a concentration in general corporate, renewable energy, finance and real estate. He previously served as General Counsel for Heller Industrial Parks, one of the largest private owners of industrial property in the United States with over one billion in net assets. As General Counsel for Heller he developed and implemented a business model for the design, build, operation, and maintenance of solar installations on industrial buildings.
Ryan received a BA in English and Political Science from Seton Hall University and a JD from Widener University School of Law. He has lectured on the solar industry and provided testimony before the New Jersey Senate Energy Committee on the New Jersey Solar market. Ryan currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the YMCA-Hamilton, Ryan’s Quest, and the Quality and Patient Safety Committee of RWJ/Barnabus University Hospital-Hamilton.
